A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a site, then read back on each visit. It is used, among other things, to remember your preferences, secure your session and measure site traffic.
On this page, the word « cookie » covers all trackers that read or write information on your device: HTTP cookies, local storage (localStorage), tracking pixels and session identifiers.
We keep trackers to the strict minimum. They fall into two categories.
Strictly necessary for the site to work, or used for anonymous audience measurement. Set without your agreement, in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL's recommendations.
| Tracker | Issuer | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plausible audience measurement | Plausible Analytics — EU infrastructure | Aggregated, anonymous statistics: page views, entry page, traffic source, device type. No cookie, no IP address stored, no tracking from one site to another or from one visit to the next. | No cookie |
lm_consent | letmotiv.fr | Remembers your cookie choices so the banner is not shown again on every page. | 6 months |
Set only after you accept via the banner. You can refuse them: your browsing experience stays the same.
Microsoft Clarity — an experience-analytics tool that records interactions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling) in anonymized form to produce heatmaps and session replays, in order to spot points of friction. Form fields are masked at capture. The data is processed by Microsoft, which may reuse it under its own privacy policy, with a transfer to the United States.
| Cookie | Issuer | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps a Clarity identifier for the device and links several sessions to the same visitor. | 13 months |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Links page views within a single session. | 24 hours |
CLID | clarity.ms | Identifies the first load of Clarity in the browser. | 13 months |
MUID | Microsoft | Identifier used by Microsoft across its services and for advertising measurement. | 13 months |
ANONCHK | Microsoft | Checks the validity of the MUID and is used for advertising measurement. | 10 minutes |
SM | Microsoft | Synchronizes the MUID identifier across Microsoft services. | Session |
Google Maps — a location map shown in the footer. When the map loads, Google sets its own cookies to measure use of the service and secure it. Until you have consented, the map is replaced by a preview and only loads on click.
| Cookie | Issuer | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
NID / AEC / SOCS | Google Ireland | Preferences, security and usage measurement for Google Maps. | Session to 24 months |
Setting and reading trackers is based on Article 82 of amended Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, which transposes the « ePrivacy » Directive, read in light of the GDPR. Exempt trackers rely on technical necessity or the « audience measurement » exemption. Trackers subject to consent rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which must be free, specific, informed and unambiguous.
The Microsoft Clarity and Google Maps cookies are set by those companies, over which we have no technical control. Enabling them entails a transfer of data to the United States, framed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR), as well as the right to give post-mortem instructions. These rights may be exercised at contact@letmotiv.fr. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr). For details of our processing activities, see our Privacy policy.
This policy may change. Any update is published on this page with a new date. If a tracker subject to consent is added, your choice is requested again before anything is set.
